Flow

  • Fluid Flow

Fluid Flow classes are designed to pair breath seamlessly with vinyasa flow. Students will strengthen their connection to the energy of the breath, while increasing the complexity of their physical practice.

The instructor’s focus is on creative sequencing that continuously builds, while maintaining the breath as the initiator of the flow. Verbal cues may be much less focused on structural form, and more on elevation of breath, rhythm, and learning how to achieve alignment through correct breathing.

This class is appropriate for those with some prior yoga experience. We do not recommend this class to brand new students. Please inform your instructor of any limitations/injuries.

  • Fluid Flow and Chill

Expect the signature “one breath, one movement” nature of Fluid Flow, with an integration of Yin and restorative practices. This class is perfect for days where you crave both dynamic movement and time to sink into longer stretches. Get your breath and body moving before dialing your energy down to rest.

This class is appropriate for those with some prior yoga experience and/or body awareness.

  • Honey Flow

Just like it sounds. Move like honey, and receive the nectar of your practice.

This class is a slower, slinkier Fluid Flow unique to each instructor. Increase sensitivity around your practice and it’s effects by decreasing attachment to what it looks like.

In Honey Flow, delve into what feels right to you. Explore the postures through aligning with intuition, play, or stillness. Don't let the name fool you though. Honey allows for progression into more advanced poses as well as encouraging you to step back when your body asks for it. It's all in the mindful, non-dogmatic desire of your body-mind-heart connection.

Highly recommended for power addicts. Come taste the sweeter side.

This class is appropriate for all levels. We do recommend if you have never taken class before to arrive early so your teacher can go over some basic principles or watch the video on our virtual studio about the vinyasa breakdown.

  • Honey Flow and Chill

Our signature honey flow with extra time at the end for chillaxin' with some restore, yin or guided meditation. Yum.

  • Rythm and Flow

Rhythm and Flow is what you get when fluid flow really gets her groove on. Feel the beat as you move through a flow practice set to vibrant, feel good music from around the world. Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Electronic, and Chill-hop music provide an outer pulse to inspire an inner rhythm of body, mind and soul moving as one, playful and free.

    Prior practice is recommended.

Power

  • Movemeant

Come shake your ASSana. Movemeant was inspired by the Class out of New York City. We take bodyweight exercises and HIIT moves, put them to evocative, soul-inspired tunes, and let whatever needs to come up and out do so. Each instructor has their own style, but the intention is the same: create a space to increase physical, mental, emotional and spiritual awareness through strength based movement, free-form dancing, and a give-no-f*** attitude about how it may look to anyone else. Play with alternative forms of movement, while still holding the core of presence.

This class is appropriate for all levels and all types.

  • Power Align

Rooted in the sequence style of Ashtanga and Baptiste yoga. Power Align classes follow the same methodical structure of warm-up, Sun A, Sun B, core strengthening, standing balance, hip mobility, backbends, forward bends, twists, and finally savasana.

There is emphasis on structural alignment, how to move through the flow with stability, and learn the foundations of a safe practice. If you are new to power yoga and are eager to learn while experiencing a challenge, this class is for you.

This class is appropriate for all levels, however, if you are injured or have physical limitations, reach out and we can assess whether this class will offer you a beneficial and enjoyable experience.

  • Power Up

Rooted in the sequence style of Ashtanga and Baptiste yoga. Power Up classes follow the same methodical structure of warm-up, Sun A, Sun B, core strengthening, standing balance, hip mobility, backbends, forward bends, twists, and finally savasana.

Power Up builds upon the principles learned in Power Align to enhance physical complexity, mental focus, and presence. Opportunities for increased speed, longer or more challenging holds, binds, and arm balances create strength, resiliency and at least a little humility. By the end of class, you will have no choice but to surrender into rest and enjoy the increased clarity caused by this powerful practice.

This class is appropriate for those with prior yoga experience.

  • Soulful Sunday Service

If you know, you know. Come together each Sunday for a balanced vinyasa infused with various yogic practices to create space for soulful connection. Class is themed to delve deeper into the vast array of yogic philosophy, and explore other aspects of the practice through mantra, chanting, and sound healing.

This is an all levels class, just know we are getting weird. And you might cry. Mostly happy tears. And your neighbor will probably talk to you...and you might just make a new best friend. We do ask for grace around timing in this class. While it technically ends at 12:15 class often runs over. Again…if you know you know. So go with the flow.

  • The Practice

There are so many forms of yoga practice. Once a month we come together to bridge the gaps and offer a fully formed opportunity for advancing not just the physical journey but the other limbs of yoga.

Class includes a dharma talk/intention setting rooted in yogic philosophy, specific pranayama (concentrated breathwork), dynamic physical yoga with the chance to workshop and introduce more complexity, and guided meditation meditation. Come discover all the ways yoga works!

Restore

  • Yin/Restore and Sound Healing

Yin/Restore is a style of physical yoga that removes the rush and returns the pause by allowing your body to be held in postures for 2-10 minutes. Yin poses typically increase muscle length and fascia "release," collagen production, and mental resilience. This is not just stretching; Yin asanas are often quite challenging as you alter limitations in both body and mind.

Restorative poses focus more on inviting your body into a position of ease, the usage of props for support, and down-regulating the nervous system. Both increase mobility, flexibility and offer the space to chill the f-out. The inclusion of sound healing methods enhance the effects on the nervous system and potency of the experience.

  • Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing

Need a nap? Or a reset from stress (aka, life)?

Yoga Nidra is guided rest with an intention to drop you into that sweet space where the mind can quiet and your whole being can decompress. Class includes sound bowls to engage the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system, increase happy hormones, and decrease stress symptoms.

Props are utilized to create the most physically comfortable space for your body, so your mind can drop into stillness. Do not be ashamed to bring your own pillows and blankie! If you struggle with slowing down, please commit to at least 3 attempts. Some of us are so strung-out on the adrenaline of day-to-day life, it can take a few tries.

This class is appropriate for all levels.

  • Breathwork

Come for the altered state. Stay for the healing.

Breathing patterns are used as the focus and the invitation to allow your body to enter a different state of awareness. In this place your mind is "quiet" and you begin to "feel" different; you are most often met with peace, calm, well-being, a little "high". Once there you are more free to express memories in the way your body holds them. As you remain curious, these long held stories reveal themselves as emotions, sensations, and "feelings" that often limit your ability to live your best life.

Please bring any extra props and comfort measures to assist in this experience (blankets, sweater, totems or other helpful objects).

  • Meditation and Sound Healing

Most people think they are "bad" at meditation.

There is no such thing. Good and bad do not apply but skill and effectiveness do.

This class starts with simple, guided meditation techniques accessible to all. Techniques are layered in so you can find what works for you. As a great meditation teacher once said "meditation is a gentle commitment to something other than being lost in thought." So throw out the limited belief that meditation is for cave dwellers who just stop thoughts from coming and gently commit to investigating what it's like inside you.

Sound bowls are folded in for the final portion of class during which the student can continue to sit and practice the technique they choose or lay down and rest, receiving all the benefits of sound healing. We could list them but why don't you just come see for yourself?

  • Meditation, Mantra and Sound Healing

Most people think they are "bad" at meditation.

There is no such thing. Good and bad do not apply but skill and effectiveness do.

This class starts with simple, guided meditation techniques accessible to all. Techniques are layered in so you can find what works for you. Mantra is one such technique where the recitation of a sound or phrase, whether in Sanskrit or English, is repeated as a tool to give mind a point of concentration. The essence of the mantra, feeling state, may also become more easily embodied in the time of practice and linger after.
